Mary Gardner

Prior to starting her own business, Mary spearheaded policy advocacy and government relations at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC). She coordinated the advocacy efforts of 250 affiliated local Hispanic chambers nationwide that, together, represent the interests of 4.37 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. Her policy focuses included small business, education and workforce development, immigration, international trade and commerce, and infrastructure. 

Mary gained experience in policy analysis at Capstone LLC, a regulatory due-diligence firm that informs institutional investors. She organized regular meetings with congressional offices and industry professionals on behalf of investor clients in the following industries: financial services, commodity strategies, healthcare, and tax.  

In the fall of 2019, Mary will join the incoming class of students at Columbia Law School. She earned a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University with a dual concentration in Latin America and International Development. She still calls Chattanooga, Tennessee home and enjoys cooking southern food for friends and coworkers.
