Casey Oakes

Director of Supplier Diversity

Marriott International 

Casey Oakes serves as Marriott International's Director of Supplier Diversity where he leads the company’s efforts to ensure that it’s supply chain is as diverse and vibrant as the communities the company serves.

In his current role, Casey stewards Marriott International’s commitment to grow annual spend with businesses owned by minorities, women, LGBT people, people with disabilities and veterans to one billion dollars. Before joining Marriott, Casey worked at NGLCC: The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce where he served as Vice President, Corporate Relations. In this role, Casey served as the organization’s principle liaison to corporate America providing consult and support to nearly 200 corporate supplier diversity programs while helping to steer organization strategy and long-term planning.

Prior to joining the NGLCC, Casey worked as a constituent advocate for United States Senator Frank R. Lautenberg where his portfolio included small business, LGBT, immigration and transportation.

Casey serves on the boards of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and Women’s Business Enterprise Councils of NY and DC Metro. Casey is an active supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. 

Casey was raised in central New Jersey and received a BA in Political Science from the American University in 2009.
