VP, Political Strategy and External Partnerships

Visa

Adama is a distinguished public affairs executive and social justice advocate. She has had a successful career in corporate government relations and led public policy efforts for major corporations, leveraging her expertise in

navigating complex regulatory environments and building strategic partnerships.

She is currently Vice President, Political Strategy and External Partnerships at Visa. She oversees the Visa Political Action Committee and works with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement Visa’s legislative

priorities at the federal and state levels. She has been with Visa since January of 2015 and held roles across the company.

In 2017, Adama emerged as a key voice in the #MeToo movement after co-authoring an open letter, signed by nearly 150 women, that exposed the pervasive culture of sexual harassment within California’s political system. This letter sparked the creation of "We Said Enough" - an organization dedicated to ending workplace harassment and fostering an inclusive professional culture across industries.

Her activism earned her a place among Time magazine's 2017 "Silence Breakers"- the collective named Person of the Year for speaking out against sexual harassment. She continues to lead efforts for legislative reform and workplace justice, with a focus on protecting and empowering marginalized voices.

Through her work, she combines her corporate acumen with a deep commitment to social change, advocating for a future where businesses and governments prioritize equity, accountability, and the well-being of all workers.

Adama has a BA in Political Science from the University of San Diego and lives in New York City.
